Grace Ko
President

Grace is a fourth-year student who started with Kaleidoscope as a School Coordinator. Last year, she was Vice President External, and became President for the current school year.

Why is Kaleidoscope Meaningful to You?

Kaleidoscope is so meaningful to me because it really is a community of support! A highlight for me for the past few years has always been our Sports and Crafts or Carnival events where we're able to bring everyone together and have a morning of fun. We get to see the impactful relationships formed between big buddies and little buddies. I know I still remember all the people who helped shape me as a child and I encourage everyone to participate with Kaleidoscope as an incredible way to give back to the community!

Annie MacCullum
Vice-President Internal

Annie is a fourth-year student, who has been with Kaleidoscope throughout her undergraduate journey. She has been School Coordinator for two years.

Why is Kaleidoscope Meaningful to You?

For the past three years, Kaleidoscope has been one of the most meaningful parts of my university experience, with school visits often being the highlight of my week. Watching my little buddy's growth and reflecting on my own alongside them has been incredibly rewarding. At our full club events, it's inspiring to see big and little buddies connect, a reminder of how powerful positive role models can be in children's lives. I'm so excited to support our volunteers and buddies in another great year of Kaleidoscope and to pay forward the support I've been fortunate to receive in my own life.

Logan Sobati
Vice-President External

Logan is a third-year student who joined as a School Coordinator with Kaleidoscope last year.

Why is Kaleidoscope Meaningful to You?

Kaleidoscope represents a unique opportunity to me. As an undergraduate student with limited qualifications, having the chance to positively influence the life course of young children, creating long term impact in their lives is both exciting and humbling. It reminds me that meaningful change can come from genuine care and presence in their lives, not just credentials. As a result, this club has been one of my most rewarding university experiences. Watching my little buddy grows last year was extremely fulfilling, but the club itself has been no less fun. Sports & Crafts morning gets pretty crazy

Richard Feng
Marketing & Fundraising Manager

Richard is a second-year student who joined Kaleidoscope last year as a School Coordinator.

Why is Kaleidoscope Meaningful to You?

I highly value the importance of mentorship. Mentorship to me is a two-way street: mentors exemplify positive traits for mentees to emulate, while also developing their own capacity to support and understand others. Kaleidoscope has been an amazing opportunity that fosters these genuine connections with youth in Kingston. Having been a Big Buddy myself, I'm reminded of the difference it can make just by simply listening and gently guiding one in the right direction.
